PAOK docked three points for till roll on Olympiakos manager

PAOK has been deducted three points and will play the next two home games behind closed, as well as losing the game with Olympiakos 3-0 due to the till roll hurled from the stands that hit Olympiakos coach Oscar Garcia on the face, forcing the match at Toumba to be called off on February 25.

PAOK punishment threatens Greek title hopes

A sports court in Greece has punished league title contender PAOK for match violence, deducting three points from its tally and ordering the northern club to play its next two home matches without fans.

A Feb. 25 match between PAOK and Olympiakos was canceled after Olympiakos coach Oscar Garcia was hit in the face by a roll of paper thrown from the stands.

And the Oscar goes to... Asteras Tripolis

On the day of one of the most forgettable Derbies of the Eternal Rivals between Olympiakos and Panathinaikos that ended in a draw, Asteras Tripolis stole the show in the Super League beating PAOK in what was arguably the season's best match.

AEK beat Panionios 1-0 on Sunday through a Marko Livaja goal and is on 54 points with six games left to play, the next one being at PAOK.

Olympiakos has three points deducted, will appeal

Olympiakos is planning an appeal after the Greek champion was docked three points by a court on Monday and ordered to play two home league games behind closed doors following fan violence at a recent match.

The court also announced the club would be fined 90,000 euros ($110,500). None of the punishments will be immediately implemented, pending the appeal.

Soccer club ordered to compensate policemen injured in riot

A court in northern Greece has ordered top-flight club PAOK to pay two police officers damages after they were injured due to fan violence at a soccer game two years ago.

The officers were hit by a bottle and a petrol bomb at a Greek Cup match in 2016 between PAOK and Olympiakos. The officers were awarded 12,900 and 6,000 euros ($16,000 and $7,500).
