AEK two points clear at the top of the Super League

AEK is alone on top of the Super League table after beating Lamia on Sunday, while Olympiakos narrowly escaped a home loss to Asteras Tripolis. The weekend produced just six goals in seven games, with four of the goals coming from the penalty spot as Greek fans were treated to a diet of very poor soccer.

Champions League Draw: Olympiakos will face the Croatian Rijeka

 

Rijeka will be the opponent of Olympiacos in the Champions League play-offs.

This particular team won the first championship in its history and its fourth Cup last season.

It was founded in 1946, its colors are white and blue.

The are within the capabilities of Olympiakos, but they can still inflict some serious damage if the Greek team is not careful.

Panathinaikos tie Greek basketball finals series (1-1). Defeat Olympiakos 84-80

In a closely fought match, Panathinaikos have tied the Greek basketball league finals (1-1) after defeating defending champions Olympiakos 84-78 on their home court. The next match will be played on June 4 at Piraeus, where the reds hope to regain the advantage in the best of 5 finals series.

PAOK slapped with 6-point deduction, 7-game stadium ban

PAOK will play seven games behind closed doors in the new season and AEK another three, while PAOK is deducted six points from the play-off mini-league (that was sealed on Wednesday) although this is largely irrelevant. This was the verdict of federation about what happened inside the Panthessaliko Stadium of Volos last month.

Sports Digest: AEK stuns Panathinaikos

BASKETBALL: AEK beat Panathinaikos 71-70 on Sunday to level their Basket League best-of-five semifinal series 1-1, in the first loss of either Panathinaikos or Olympiakos to a third team in a domestic competition this season. In the other semifinal series Olympiakos has taken a 2-0 lead after beating host Aris 84-77 in Thessaloniki on Saturday.
