Agriculture in the Soviet Union

The National Assembly has passed a declaration whereby Slovenia recognizes the Holodomor, a famine with which the Soviet authorities starved millions of Ukrainians to death in 1932 and 1933, as genocide.

Across Ukraine, the war has forced grain growers into a vicious dilemma. Farmers in areas now free from Russian occupation are risking their lives to strip their land of explosives before the critical spring planting season.

Turkey produces some of the best quality cotton in the world, but its production volume has been declining, said the head of the Home Textiles Industry and Business Association (TES?AD) in a written statement. 

"Turkey produces one of the world's highest quality cotton. Our cotton production must increase up to 4 million tons by 2023," said TES?AD head Ya?ar Küçükçal?k.
