Sofia Airport Tender Extended by mid-December
Bulgaria has extended for a second time the deadline to submit offers for the concession the government seeks to grant on Sofia Airport, the country's biggest airport.
Candidates can now send their offers before December 15, upon a decision approved on the last workday before the November 06 presidential elections, which was Friday, November 04.

Belgrade airport breaks new records
BELGRADE - For four consecutive months, the Belgrade Airport has been breaking records in the number of passengers, registering 438,980 passengers in October, which is a 9 pct increase compared to the same period last year, the airport said in a statement.

Only one offer submitted for new Iraklio airport project
A single offer was submitted in the tender for the construction and operation of a new airport for Iraklio at Kastelli on Crete. The consortium of local construction firm GEK Terna and Indian group GMR was the only one to table a bid for the project, despite expectations there would be more participants.
Fraport shares its plans for air terminals
Fraport Greece will implement investments of 400 million euros at the 14 regional airports it has leased in the next four years, the company's executive director of commercial and business development, George Vilos, told a Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) conference earlier this week.

Athens International Airport top in Europe in transit traffic
According to Eurostat data, “Elefterios Venizelos” International Airport in Athens has recorded the highest passenger transit increase in Europe for 2015. The figures show that 19.1% more travellers passed through “Eleftherios Venizelos” last year, compared to 2014, with Luton and Dublin terminals coming in second and third with a +17% and +14.1% rise, respectively.
All Flights To, From Greek Airports Cancelled
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed that, according to Greek media, all flights to and from airports in Greece will be cancelled on October 9, October 10, October 12 and October 13 due to 24-hour relay strikes of air traffic controllers.
