Tecau-Rojer duo advances to Australian Open men's doubles second round

Tennis duo Horia Tecau of Romania and Jean-Julien Rojer of the Netherlands on Wednesday progressed to the second round of the men's doubles event at Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the year, after defeating Dominic Inglot (GB)/Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi (Pak) 6-1 3-6 6-2. Seed number eight prevailed in an hour and 36 minutes.

Romanian-Dutch pairing Horia Tecau/Jean-Julien Rojer on Thursday advanced to the men's doubles final of the 691,415-USD Winston-Salem Open ATP tournament in North Carolina, the US, after defeating British duo Joe Salisbury/Neal Skupski 7-5 6-1.

Tecau and Rojer, second seeded and defending champions, won in 66 minutes.

Tipsarevic, Troicki lose in first round of RG doubles

PARIS - The Serbian duo of Janko Tipsarevic and Viktor Troicki is out of the Roland Garros men's doubles tournament after suffering a 6-3, 7-6 (7-0) defeat to the British-Brazilian pairing of Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares on Tuesday.

Serbian Nenad Zimonjic and Spaniard Fernando Verdasco will face Romania's Florin Mergea and Pakistan's Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi.
