Missing wife of Greek ex minister found at church near mental health facility

The wife of jailed former defence minister Akis Tsochatzopoulos was found sitting on a bench outside a church in Haidari, western Athens, on Friday afternoon, a day after she went missing from the Dromokaiteio mental health facility, state television reported.

Breaking: Vicky Stamati found and arrested

Vicky Stamati, the wife of jailed former socialist minister Akis Tsohatzopoulos who escaped from the Dromokaitio Psychiatric Hospital yesterday was found and arrested by the Greek police on Friday.

According to preliminary information, the police arrested the woman at Panagitsa Church located in the area of Haidari, a western suburb of Athens.

Police arrest four correctional officers in relation to Stamati escape

Four correctional officers were arrested on Thursday in relation to the escape of Vicky Stamati, wife of the jailed former minister Akis Tsochatzopoulos, from the Dromokaitio Psychiatric Hospital. The prison employees, who were responsible for guarding Stamati, will be taken before a prosecutor later on Thursday, while police continue searching for the fugitive.

Four guards detained over jailed ex-minister's wife escape from mental health unit

Four prison guards in charge of guarding Viki Stamati, the spouse of jailed ex-Defense Minister Akis Tsochatzopoulos who escaped in the early hours of Thursday from a mental health facility, were arrested on the same day. All four were expected to face a local prosecutor on Thursday.

Proto Thema photographed the balcony from where she left the hospital at dawn on Thursday mroning. Her room was on the ground floor. The balcony door had bars that she managed to break open.
