BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic held an urgent meeting with several government ministers on Tuesday evening after Pristina's PM Albin Kurti rejected a proposal by the US, the EU and Quint states and decided instead that a ban on the Serbian dinar in Kosovo-Metohija begin on Wednesday, sources in the Presidency of Serbia told Tanjug.

It is also estimated that tensions in Kosovo have increased since the coming to power of the Prime Minister of the temporary institutions of Pristina, Albin Kurti.

The meeting followed after the Prime Minister of Pristina's temporary institutions, Albin Kurti, rejected the proposal of the USA, the EU and the Quint countries and decided that the ban on the use of the dinar in Kosovo and Metohija would begin today, Tanjug was told in the Presidency.
