KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - Serbian Democracy leader Aleksandar Arsenijevic and the party's deputy president Ivan Orlovic, who were arrested in northern Kosovska Mitrovica on Tuesday for alleged disruption of public order, have been released from detention after being handed fines, Tanjug's correspondent reports.

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - Serbian Democracy leader Aleksandar Arsenijevic was arrested by Pristina's police in northern Kosovska Mitrovica on Tuesday, Tanjug's correspondent reported.

The so-called Kosovo Police has still not confirmed the reasons for the arrest.

BELGRADE - After separate meetings with the EU special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Miroslav Lajcak and US Ambassador Christopher Hill, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday he would make a public address within the next 72 hours to announce Serbia's demands following a brutal attack on Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, especially in the north of the province.

PIROT - Serbian PM Milos Vucevic reiterated on Friday Pristina's PM Albin Kurti aimed to ethnically cleanse Serbs from Kosovo-Metohija and that his political agenda was comprised of nothing else.

Speaking to reporters in Pirot, southeastern Serbia, Vucevic said Kurti was gearing for elections and that attacks on Serbs were the only thing on his agenda.

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic said on Wednesday Pristina's PM Albin Kurti was conducting a horrific campaign of open ethnic cleansing in Kosovo-Metohija.

"On one hand, I must say it is nice that everyone - both the US and the EU - is condemning that, but the question is: is that sufficient?" Brnabic told Prva TV.

William Burns, the CIA Director, is currently on a two-day visit to Kosovo, making his way through southeastern Europe. On Thursday, Burns was reported to have been in Bulgaria as part of a tour that included stops in Sarajevo, Belgrade, Sofia, Skopje, and Pristina, according to Radio Free Europe.

US Ambassador to Kosovo Jeffrey Hovenier expressed concerns today about the potential risks associated with reopening the bridge over the Iber River in Mitrovica. Hovenier warned that this action could pose a "real danger" to the safety of NATO troops stationed in Kosovo, including American soldiers, as reported by "KosovaPress."

BELGRADE - Commenting on the closure of Post of Serbia branch offices in Kosovo-Metohija, Serbian Minister of Labour, Employment and Veteran and Social Affairs Nemanja Starovic said on Wednesday Pristina PM Albin Kurti's moves reflected a pattern of unilateral measures that drew only verbal condemnations by the US and the EU but no concrete measures.

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday evening Pristina's PM Albin Kurti wanted to spark a conflict before the US elections as his time was slowly running out and that he was using provocations to turn NATO against Serbia.
