John Sarbanes: An ethical politician

It was perhaps his substantive answers, his honesty, but mostly the air of a statesman that surrounded US Congressman John Sarbanes in the very interesting discussion he had last Wednesday with students from Deree College (part of the American College of Greece - ACG) in the school's Library.

Can changes in higher education turn Greece into a global education hub?
A few weeks ago Greece passed a law allowing the operation of private, non-profit universities, including allowing foreign private universities to set up branches in the country. The move came despite weeks of demonstrations that included scores of university building occupations by students.

Deree to offer business English course in Oct-Dec
Deree, the American College of Greece's school of graduate and professional education in Athens, is offering a business English skills course lasting just over two months from October 3 to December 5, with classes every Tuesday from 6.30 to 9 p.m.
The language of instruction is English and the deadline for registration is October 2.

Deree Business English courses for professionals
The Deree School of Graduate and Professional Education of The American College of Greece is organizing two online English courses for business professionals.
The first 10-week seminar is titled "Business English Skills" and takes place every Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. from January 12 to March 16, 2021.
