Tipsarevic through to Bangkok semis
BANGKOK - Serbia's Janko Tipsarevic is through to the semi-finals of the ATP Challenger in Bangkok after beating Belgian Yannick Mertens 6-2, 6-4.
Fifth-seeded Tipsarevic will next face world number 112 Yuichi Sugita of Japan.

Bogdan - Melichar double advances to quarterfinals of Bogota Open 2015
Women's tennnis double Elena Bogdan of Romania and Nicole Melichar of the US advanced to the quarterfinals of the 250,000-US-dollar WTA Claro Colsanitas Open tournament in Bogota, Colombia, as they defeated Nastja Kolar (Slovenia)/Elise Mertens (Belgium), 7-6 (3), 6-4 on Tuesday.

Grgic meets Olympic standard for Rio Games
CHANGWON - Serbian sports shooter Dimitrije Grgic has finished fourth in the men's air rifle event at the World Cup in Changwon, securing an Olympic berth for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games.
Scoring 159.2 points in the final, he fell short of winning a medal, finishing behind Jin Jong-oh of South Korea, Ye Tun Naung of Myanmar and Jitu Rai of India.

Arsovic wins bronze, breaks national record
KUWAIT - Serbia's Andrea Arsovic won the bronze medal in the women's 50m Rifle Prone event at the 41th International Shooting Grand Prix in Kuwait City on Friday.
Arsovic ended up in the third position with 621.0 points, beating the Serbian national record.

Arsovic wins gold in Kuwait
KUWAIT - Andrea Arsovic, a member of the Serbian shooting sports team, won the gold medal in women's air rifle at the Kuwait Grand Prix on Tuesday.
Arsovic scored 207.1 points, beating Mongolia's Narantuya Chuluunbadrakh (206.5) and Jasmine Ser Xiang Wei of Singapore (186.2).

Jankovic loses in Tokyo round two
TOKYO - Serbian No. 2 Jelena Jankovic was ousted in the second round of singles at the WTA tournament in Tokyo by Garbine Muguruza of Spain 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 on Thursday.
The fourth-seeded Jankovic failed to justify the role of favorite against the talented 20-year-old.

Jankovic through to doubles semifinals in Tokyo
TOKYO - Serbia's Jelena Jankovic and Arantxa Parra Santonja of Spain have secured their spot in the doubles semifinals at the WTA tournament in Tokyo.
The Serbian-Spanish pair beat the Russian-Australian combination Alla Kudryavtseva/Anastasia Rodionova 2-6, 6-3, 10-6.
