The acclaimed MusicAeterna Ensemble and Choir and Teodor Currentzis, a gifted conductor renowned for his energetic style, will perform at the Athens Concert Hall as part of its Great Orchestras - Great Condutors Cycle on November 11 and 12. On Monday, the ensemble will play "Tristia," a piece by multi-award-winning French composer Philippe Hersant based on poems written by prisoners.

The Athens Concert Hall is screening a live performance from the National Theater in London of Simon Woods' new play "Hansard: The Official Report of All Parliamentary Debates," a witty and devastating portrait of the governing class in the UK, directed by Simon Godwin and starring Olivier Award-winners Lindsay Duncan and Alex Jennings.

Bolshoi’s ‘Raymonda’ | Athens | October 27

Tuning in live from Moscow, the Athens Concert Hall will be screening the Bolshoi Ballet's celebrated production of "Raymonda," choreographed by Yuri Grigorovich after Marius Petipa, on Sunday, October 27. In Alexander Glasunov's romance Raymonda is betrothed to Jean de Brienne, a gallant knight in the service of the King of Hungary.

Nils Frahm | Athens | September 24

Berlin-based composer, musician and producer Nils Frahm, renowned as an electronic music pioneer for his innovative approach to the piano, will appear at the Athens Concert Hall on Tuesday, September 24. The show is part of a world tour titled "All Melody." Tickets range from 25 to 55 euros and can be purchased via the venue's website.

For the first time in its 54-year history, Paris's avant-garde Theatre du Soleil was entrusted by its founder, Ariane Mnouchkine, to another director: Canada's acclaimed Robert Lepage. "Kanata: Episode I - The Controversy" is based on the story of a French artist who was moved to paint the portraits of indigenous women murdered in the slums of Vancouver by a serial killer.
