Real estate prices reaching record highs
The rate of house price growth is continuously exceeding record highs, according to data compiled by the Bank of Greece for the first quarter of this year. Indicatively, prices rose 14.5% year-on-year in Greece as a whole, with even higher increases in the two biggest urban centers, reaching 16.5% in Attica and 16.1% in Thessaloniki.

There are adequate excuses for all that has occurred over the last hours in Attica due to the snowstorm.
Entire neighbourhoods went without electricity and water for many hours in Attica, which is home for about half of the population of Greece, and not in any remote region.

The real 'way out'
The intensity of political confrontation in the past few days has been an unpleasant spectacle, but it has also been useful.
It gave citizens the opportunity to see the complete lack of political civility, which does not extend even to the minimum standards of common courtesy.
It allowed us to see one of the oldest tricks in the book of demagoguery - pre-election handouts.
