Locals race downhill with handmade wooden cars

Formulaz, a traditional wooden car race co-organized by Red Bull and the Formulaz Association, has been held in the Black Sea province of Rize.

Simone Tempestini wins special at European Rally Championship, first for Romanian motorsport

Simone Tempestini has recorded a new first for Romanian motorsports, the first special stage won in the European Rally Championship, on Sunday, in the Rally di Roma Capitale 2021, according to a release made public by the Romanian Federation for Motorsports. In 2016, Tempestini, an Italian who gained Romanian citizenship, became a Junior World Rally Champion.

Fans name Turkish Grand Prix best race of year

The Turkish Grand Prix in the Formula 1 has taken the majority of the fans' votes to be the best race of the year, the organizers said on Dec. 24. 

"That's right, you chose the Turkish Grand Prix as your best race of the year," Formula 1 said on its website.

Held on November 15, the Turkish Grand Prix had the 33% of the votes to win the polls.

Turkish driver claims 2 wins in Bahrain

Turkish driver Ayhancan Güven won the third and fourth Porsche Sprint Challenge Middle East races in Bahrain on Dec. 6.

"2 pole, 2 win. Thanks DHL and Lechner Racing," Güven said on Twitter.

The first-ever race of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Middle East took place on Dec.11, 2009 at the Bahrain International Circuit.​​​​​​​
