Portuguese Magalhaes wins Acropolis Rally

Portugal's Bruno Magalhaes won on Sunday the 2018 Acropolis Rally in Greece that forms part of the European Rally Championship.

On the wheel of a Skoda Fabia R5, Magalhaes drove rather cautiously in the four stages of Sunday to preserve his lead from Saturday and win the race on the rough terrain of the Greek gravel roads.

Acropolis Rally starts under the Parthenon

The EKO Acropolis Rally, the 64th edition of Greece's most distinguished motorsport event, started below the remains of the ancient Acropolis citadel in Athens on Friday.

The competition, round 3 of the European Rally Championship, began with a spectacular overturning, fortunately without injuries, when Peugeot 208 R2 of Russian Artur Muradian flipped in the stage.
