Moody Blues drummer dies at 80

Graeme Edge, a drummer and co-founder of The Moody Blues, has died. He was 80.

The band's frontman, Justin Hayward, confirmed Edge's death on the group's website. The cause of his death has not been revealed.

Hayward called Edge the backbone of the British rock band, which was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2018. The band's last album was released in 2003.

Rolling Stones mark first tour without Charlie Watts with video tribute

The Rolling Stones kicked off the U.S. leg of their "No Filter" tour on Sept. 26 with a video tribute to their late drummer Charlie Watts.

The veteran British band, on their first tour since 1963 without Watts, displayed photos and video of him on huge projections at the St. Louis, Missouri, arena against a drum solo soundtrack.

Charlie Watts, the drummer of the legendary British rock'n'roll band the Rolling Stones, died on Aug. 24 at the age of 80, his publicist said.

"It is with immense sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Charlie Watts. He passed away peacefully in a London hospital earlier today surrounded by his family," publicist Bernard Doherty said in a statement.

Grammy-nominated Scottish pop producer Sophie dies aged 34

Scottish electronic pop producer Sophie has died at the age of 34 in a "terrible accident", the artist's record label said in a statement on Jan. 30.

The Glasgow-born producer was nominated for a Grammy for her debut studio album in 2019 and collaborated with Madonna and the British singer Charli XCX.
