140 Bulgarian publishers will participate in the book alley event today in front of the National Palace of Culture. The organizer is the Bulgarian Book Association, and the opening will be before noon.

A record number of publishing houses - 122, are participating in the "Book Alley" opening today in Sofia. The tents are located in the pedestrian area of ​​Vitosha Boulevard and the park in front of the National Palace of Culture (NDK).

"Today we bow our heads to the feat of the thousands of Bulgarians with big hearts and dreams of freedom, who 146 years ago - in the glorious April of 1876, rebelled against the Ottoman rule."

This was written by Prime Minister Kiril Petkov on Facebook on the occasion of the anniversary of the April Uprising.

The decision follows the measures taken by the government of the Republic of Bulgaria to prevent the dissemination of the COVID-19 coronavirus in the country 

Sofia International Film Festival is the biggest film festival in Bulgaria. It began in 1997 and attracts more than 85 000 spectators annually. Today, September 6, Bulgaria marks 134rd anniversary of the unification of the Principality of Bulgaria and the province of Eastern Rumelia. The celebrations will culminate in Plovdiv, where the head of state, President Rumen Radev, will take part in a solemn ceremony at Saedinenie Square and will deliver a speech.

The International Architectural Forum SHARE Sofia 2019 will begin tomorrow, May 30, 2019, at the National Palace of Culture (NDK) - Congress Center Sofia.

The event will bring together 350 participants from Bulgaria, USA, Turkey, Denmark, Poland, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Greece, Montenegro and Serbia.

The National Palace of Culture sets the ambitious goal of being the number one producer of cultural events in Bulgaria. The leadership of the National Palace of Culture today presented its main tasks for the next two years - an even richer program, affordable ticket prices and more viewers.

In the coming months Hall 1 will again host concerts of Bulgarian  and world celebrities.

Although the promotion of patronage in the field of culture in Bulgaria is regulated by the Law on Patronage and the Law for the National Chitalishta, a precise mechanism for financing the culture by private and legal persons has not yet been developed.
