The world famous violinist Nigel Kennedy will present to the Bulgarian audience his Hendrix project in Sofia on May 10.

His visit is nearing and the impatience of his fans is growing as they are curious what to expect from his new project, which will offer interpretations of the legendary Jimi Hendrix.

Save Sofia NGO Alarms Brussels on Poor Renovation Works Funded by EU

The non-governmental organization Save Sofia has sent a signal to Brussels on account of low quality renovation works in Bulgaria's capital. The project was executed in the Sofia municipality with EU funds.

The reconstruction procedure along Bulgaria Blvd's railway cost approximately BGN 7 M no VAT included.

International Book Fair Starts In Sofia On Tuesday

The 42-nd edition of the Sofia International Book Fair starts on Tuesday in the National Palace of Culture (NDK).

It will be on till December 14 and is organised by the Bulgarian Book Association, which celebrates its 20-th anniversary.

The Book Fair will present 200 exhibitors from Bulgaria, as well as Romania, Hungary, Iran, Serbia, Russia and Spain's Instituto Cervantes.

Boyz II Men In Sofia

The US soul and R&B band Boyz II Men will perform in Sofia on December 12.

The four-time Grammy winners will sing in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture (NDK). The concert is part of the European tour of the band to present their new album "Collide".

Tickets can be bought at the NDK box office and in the Eventim ticketing platform.

Mystery Of Bulgarian Voices & Georgian Voices In Sofia

Bulgaria's world renown folklore ensemble The Mystery of Bulgarian Voices and the Georgian male folk choir Georgian Voices will perform together in Sofia on December 5.

The two ensembles will perform the most popular Bulgarian and Georgian folk songs.

The concert will take place in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture (NDK).

28-th Edition Of Kinomania Film Festival Starts In Sofia, Varna

The 28-th edition of Bulgaria's Kinomania film festival starts on November 13 in Sofia with a screening of the Bulgarian film "The Sinking Of Sozopol" (Potuvaneto na Sozopol).

The Kinomania edition in the coast city of Varna starts on November 21 with a screening of Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's "Birdman or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance".

Government Declares 5 Days Off For Christmas, For New Year

Bulgaria's caretaker government declared five days off for Christmas and five days off for New Year.

The schedule was approved at the government meeting on Wednesday.

December 24, 25 and 26 are by law holidays.

December 31, Wednesday, is a non-working day. It will be compensated on December 13, Saturday, which becomes a working day.
