Weed at the US Open? Some players swear they can smell it

NEW YORK - Those familiar with New York City know it's a place where you will occasionally be confronted with the smell of marijuana. But when some of the world's most elite tennis players caught a whiff of weed during opening day of the US Open in Queens, an investigation was launched to find the possible source.

Police seize 225 kg of marijuana in SE Turkey

Turkish police on Dec. 24 seized kilograms (nearly 500 pounds) of marijuana from a truck in the country's southeast, according to a security source.

The drugs were seized in Gaziantep after anti-drug teams stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver in a sniffer dog-aided operation, said the source, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media.
