Thousands chant for Hizbullah in Charlie Hebdo protest in southeast Turkey

Around 100,000 people have protested the French magazine Charlie Hebdo in Diyarbak?r, a Kurdish-majority city in Turkey's southeast, cheering for Turkish Hizbullah.

The Lovers of the Prophet Platform organized the two-hour long Jan. 24 protest at the central ?stasyon Square with the participation of thousands of demonstrators coming from nearby towns, Do?an News Agency reported. 

Protest walk against caricatures of Muhammad

NOVI PAZAR - A peaceful protest walk was held in Novi Pazar on Friday against the publication of caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad in the French weekly Charlie Hebdo and other medias.

The protest walk was organized after the largest Friday congregational prayer service in Novi Pazar mosques. The gathered locals held a banner saying "Muhammad" and shouted "Allah is one".

Novi Pazar is the largest town in the Raska District, also known informally as Sandzak, that is home to a large Muslim minority.
