Pierrakakis: Mobile phone use will be prohibited even during breaks, and a one-day suspension will be imposed
On Monday morning, Education Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis provided further clarifications regarding the new school regulations, particularly concerning the ban on mobile phone use by students. He explained, “The display and use of mobile phones are prohibited. It can remain in your pocket, but this applies even during breaks, and the penalty is a one-day suspension.”

Staikouras: 900 new buses will be in circulation in Attica by the end of 2025
By the end of 2025, 900-950 new buses will be on the streets of Attica, while the fleet will be renewed in Thessaloniki as well, the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Staikouras, told SKAI 100.3.
He explained that there are already 140 new electric buses on the streets of Athens and 110 on the streets of Thessaloniki, which are fully accessible to all citizens.
Staikouras: Gov’t supports taxi sector
Making the reduced VAT rate for taxis - from 24% to 13% - permanent, as announced by the National Economy and Finance Ministry, "proves the government's willingness to actively support the sector of taxi drivers," Infrastructure and Transport Minister Christos Staikouras said on Thursday.

Agiokampos dam contract signed
The contract for the project "Construction of Reservoir at Agiokampos-Livadotopos Site" in Larissa, with a budget of 19.1 million euros, was signed in the presence of Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Christos Staikouras, on Saturday.
The project aims to construct a barrier on the Puri stream in the Agiokampos area of the regional unit of Larissa.
