The Greek Film Archive has teamed up with Swiss Films to present a panorama of new Swiss cinema consisting of three documentaries and seven fictions features. They include films by Ursula Meier, Lionel Baier, Jean-Stéphane Bron, Frédéric Mermoud and Alain Tanner, starring Isabelle Huppert, Bruno Ganz, Nathalie Baye, Emmanuelle Devos and other great European actors.

Berlin Golden Bear, Cannes Camera d'Or winners to run this weekend at Films de Cannes a Bucarest
Berlin Golden Bear winner "Synonymes" by Nadav Lapid, and Cannes Camera d'Or awardee "Nuestras Madres" (Our Mothers) by Cesar Diaz will run in Bucharest on Saturday as part of the Les Films de Cannes a Bucharest events, according to the festival organisers.
Alain Delon Recovers After Stroke
Legendary French actor Alain Delon is recovering in a Swiss clinic after suffering a stroke and "slight" brain haemorrhage several weeks ago, his eldest son Anthony Delon said on Thursday, quoted by Swissinfo.ch.
In mid-June, Alain Delon's entourage said the actor had been admitted to the American Hospital in Neuilly "for dizziness and minor headaches".

Thieves break through wall to steal sports merchandise
Police are searching for an unspecified number of suspects who stole athletic shoes and other items from a store in downtown Athens after smashing a hole in the side wall of a neighbouring shop.

Open-Air Film Festival | Athens | To August 29
The Athens Open-Air Film Festival continues on Friday, July 6, with the 1965 French mystery "The Sleeping Car Murders" (Compartiment tueurs), directed by Costa-Gavras from the novel by Sebastien Japrisot, starring Simone Signoret, Michel Piccoli, Yves Montand and Jean-Louis Trintignant. This year's festival program includes 18 classic films, many of which are famous literary adaptations.
