Weather: Rain, strong south winds and snow in the mountains are coming – Which areas are affected

Two atmospheric disturbances will affect our country in the coming days, causing rain, storms, very strong southerly winds, and snow in the mountains, according to the Director of the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY), Thodoris Kolyda.

Weather: North winds are getting stronger from today – Temperature in autumn levels

Winds in the Aegean are expected to pick up starting today, Wednesday, with stronger gusts tomorrow, Thursday, reaching up to 8 Beaufort, especially in the central and southern parts of the sea. Temperatures will also drop across most of the country, with the east feeling it the most.

Weather: Warm start to the week with 28°C – When cooler temperatures will arrive

This week starts with warm and mostly dry conditions, with temperatures reaching up to 28°C. However, cooler weather is on the horizon, with a noticeable temperature drop expected by the end of the week, marking a shift after a prolonged warm period, as reported by Thodoris Kolydas, the director of the National Weather Service.

The new emergency weather bulletin predicts a worsening of weather conditions starting this afternoon and lasting for almost 24 hours due to the Cassandra storm, which will pass north of Greece but not significantly affect the country, according to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (HNMS).
