Montenegro's Djukanovic Not Up for New PM Term after Elections
Montenegro's longtime Prime Minister Milo Đukanović will not continue as the government head despite just having won a close election race, a statement by his Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) indicated Tuesday.
Ruling DPS accuses minister of "siding with terrorists"
Montenegro's ruling DPS party has accused the country's interior minister, Goran Danilovic, of "siding with terrorists."
Danilovic is an opposition politician who is a member of the transitional government, headed by DPS leader Milo Djukanovic.
Djukanovic: Montenegro to Join NATO Within Several Months
BELGRADE - Montenegro will join NATO within several months, head of the ruling Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic said after parliamentary elections held on Sunday.
He also vowed to accelerate negotiations on the country's joining the European Union.

The ruling Democratic Socialist Party (DPS) is tipped to win the general vote held in the country on Sunday, exit polls quoted by local media show.
If confirmed, the result would award Prime Minister Milo Đukanović anoter term in office, amidst his effort to pursue accession into NATO and to progress in negotiations with the EU.
Montenegrin elections: Ethnic minority parties hold key
Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic's party, the DPS, has won the most votes - 41.1 pct - in the parliamentary elections held on Sunday.
The DPS will have 35 seats in the Montenegrin parliament. The opposition parties, meanwhile, will have 40 representatives.

Djukanovic to Reshuffle Cabinet in Montenegro
Montenegrin lawmakers on Wednesday will meet to approve a new cabinet after the ruling and opposition parties agreed on forming a transitional government to organize parliamentary elections by the end of this year.
It is expected that MPs at the same session will adopt a special law to legally define the implementation of the agreement and how state resources can be used.
