The figures suggest a significant improvement in judicial cooperation between Serbia and Kosovo since a mechanism was agreed with the EU in 2013. But do they tell the whole story?

The Kosovo Security Force announced that it will be part of the international exercise "KFOR 30", at the invitation of the USA, with the contingent of the company of the National Demining Guard.
The exercise will take place at the U.S. military base Hohenfels in Germany, which started today and will last until February 28, reports Clan Kosova.

From the post-war period in 2000 until Kosovo's declaration of independence in 2008, Kosovo was run by the UN's interim administration, UNMIK, which together with domestic political leaders attempted to create institutions that would be able to implement a newly-established legal framework for the country.

More than two decades since it broke away from Serbia in war, Kosovo is trying to claim ownership over more than 160 properties dotted around the former Yugoslavia.

So far, proceedings have been started in the case of two properties in neighbouring Montenegro totalling some 37,500 square metres in the coastal municipality of Budva.

Kosovo and Serbia delegations again exchanged familiar accusations of not fulfilling the obligations they have undertaken at the latest round of the EU-facilitated dialogue on normalization of relations between the two countries.

The two delegations met on Tuesday in Brussels convened by the EU's envoy for the dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak.

Our communities have always been kept in degrading conditions and excluded from society, partly in order to make sure that poor non-Roma did not rebel against their lot in life. Even now, in many villages the 'best' Roma is the guy who still works for the locals, morning to evening, for whatever they will give him - "the best Roma in the village".

Kosovo, meanwhile, holds snap parliamentary elections on February 14. At the same time, the Assembly will have to elect a new president. Forming a government has proven to be difficult in the past and this year will be no exception.

Exhumation of human remains - thought to be Kosovo Albanian victims of the Kosovo independence war - found at Kizevak, in Raska, in southern Serbia - should start next week, when the whole terrain is prepared for work, officials say.

The proposed Draft Law on Protection of the Kosovo Liberation Army's Values failed to pass on Thursday after only 35 MPs out of a total of 120 lawmakers in the Kosovo Assembly voted in favour.

"A total of 36 deputies participated [in the vote], 35 votes in favour, one against and no abstentions," said Kosovo Assembly speaker Vjosa Osmani.
