Inflation climbed to 3.2% in March
The national inflation rate in Greece amounted to 3.2% in March climbing from 2.9% in February, the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) reported on Wednesday.
ELSTAT's data confirm the rising inflation picture shown by Eurostat's statistics, according to which European Union-harmonized inflation rose in Greece to 3.4% in March, from 3.1% in February.

Price of olive oil soars 61% in Cyprus
Last month the price of olive oil in Cyprus surged by 61.7% compared to March 2023, per the Cyprus Consumers Association. Additionally, passenger transport by bus and coach witnessed a notable increase of 16.5%, according to data compiled in a table by the association, analyzing the consumer price index.

NBS: Serbian y-o-y inflation slowed down to 5.6 pct in February
BELGRADE - Quoting figures released by the national statistical office, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) said on Tuesday Serbian y-o-y inflation had decelerated further, measuring 5.6 pct in February, in line with the its expectations.
Inflation dropped to 2.9% in February, but food prices grew 6.7%
Inflation in Greece eased to a 2.9% rate in February, from 3.1% in January, while prices in the food category increased on an annual basis by 6.7%, slowing down from the previous month's 8.3% rate, the Hellenic Statistical Authority announced on Friday.
Annual inflation climbs to 67 percent last month
Türkiye's annual inflation rate accelerated from 64.86 percent in January to 67 percent in February, but the pace of monthly inflation increase slowed, the data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) have shown.
Consumer prices advanced 4.53 percent month-on-month, down from 6.7 percent in January.

Eurozone Inflation Slows to 2.6% in February, Slightly Higher Than Expected
In February 2024, inflation in the Eurozone slowed down to 2.6% on an annual basis from 2.8% in January, but slightly more than anticipated, as preliminary data from Eurostat indicates.
Every month, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 0.6% in February compared to the previous month when it decreased by 0.4%.
Retail turnover rose by 5.1% last year
Retail sales volume increased by just 0.7% in December 2023, the month with the highest consumer demand due to the Christmas and New Year holidays, compared to December 2022.
