Resurging inflation puts Fed on track for more big rate hikes
Red-hot U.S. inflation is showing few signs of cooling, putting the Federal Reserve on track to continue its aggressive interest rate increases to help cool high prices that are challenging Joe Biden's presidency.
Rent hikes to be limited to 25 pct, says minister
With a temporary clause to be added to existing law, rent price hikes will be limited to 25 percent, Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ has said.
The government has been working on a solution to curb exorbitant rent increases, especially in the country's large cities, such as Istanbul, Ankara and İzmir.

Consumer price inflation at 73.5 percent in May
Consumer prices in Turkey increased by 2.98 percent in May, slowing from the 7.25 percent month-on-month increase recorded in April, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) on June 3.

Cap on rent hike to be introduced, says minister
Authorities are working on a new regulation that would introduce a cap on rent increases, Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ has said.
"The limit in rent hikes will be based on the inflation rate, and this will be a temporary measure," Bozdağ told reporters in the Central Anatolian province of Yozgat.

Eurostat: Inflation in Greece in April at 9.4%
Inflation in Greece jumped to 9.4% in April, according to Eurostat data. At the same time in the eurozone reached 7.5%.
According to official Eurostat data released today, the harmonized index of consumer prices continued its upward trend and climbed to 9.4% against a performance of -1.1% in the corresponding month of 2021.

Bulgaria: Over 12% is the Annual Inflation in March
The annual inflation for March 2022 compared to March 2021 in Bulgaria is 12.4%, according to the National Statistical Institute.
The consumer price index for March 2022 compared to February 2022 is 102.2%, i.e. monthly inflation is 2.2%, Inflation since the beginning of the year (March 2022 compared to December 2021) is 5.2%.
Bulgaria: Annual inflation in January was 9.1%
According to preliminary NSI data, the consumer price index for Bulgaria in January 2022 compared to December 2021 was 101.5%, i.e. monthly inflation is 1.5%. The annual inflation for January 2022 compared to January 2021 was 9.1%.
The average annual inflation for the period February 2021 - January 2022 compared to the period February 2020 - January 2021 was 4.1%.

ELSTAT: Inflation in Greece at 3.4% in October
Inflation "climbed" to 3.4% in October 2021, according to ELSTAT.
In particular, the comparison of the General CPI of October 2021 with the corresponding Index of October 2020 resulted in an increase of 3.4% compared to a decrease of 1.8% in the respective comparison of the year 2020 with 2019.
