BELGRADE -- Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic has announced that two special forces units of the Interior Ministry (MUP) will be merged into one unit.
MUP's Gendarmerie, meanwhile, will remain a separate formation.

Two teens travel to Syria through Turkey: UK police
Two 17-year-old boys from Dewsbury, northern England, are believed to have traveled to Syria through Turkey, British police said April 7.
"North East Counter Terrorism Unit can confirm that West Yorkshire Police has received a report that two 17-year-old boys from Dewsbury are believed to have traveled to Syria," West Yorkshire Police said in a statement.

Japan unveils $15.5 mn aid against Mideast terrorism
Japan on Feb. 17 announced $15.5 million to fight "terrorism" in the Middle East and Africa, as Tokyo tries to demonstrate its resolve despite the murder of two citizens by Islamist extremists.
The amount doubles the $7.5 million in assistance that Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida pledged during a visit to Brussels in January.
