Church raps Sorras minions
The Holy Synod of the Church of Greece on Tuesday issued a statement saying that individuals dressed as clerics who have been appearing on Greek television channels and speaking in support of the nationalist political grouping Convention of Greeks, founded by self-proclaimed billionaire Artemis Sorras, are not priests in the eyes of the Church.

Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden at St. Nicholas Hermitage (photos)

Greek-American TV personality Maria Menounos has been at the side of her mother Litsa, since she was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Maria recently attended the liturgy at Saint Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church in Los Angeles and prayed for the recovery of her mother.

Orthodox icons bleeding in Crimea (chilling pics)
People in a village near the Crimean city of Sevastapol are flocking to see two orthodox icons that are reportedly bleeding. The two icons were handed to the local church by the mother of a young man who participated in the Donbas conflict. Drops of blood reportedly started appearing on the icons when the young man was killed in combat.

Move to Axe Bishops Splits Serbian Church
The annual Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church on Wednesday said it was relieving from duty its Canadian Bishop, Georgije Djokic, following complaints of misconduct and corruption.
Serbia's daily Blic newspaper reported that the Bishop has denied the charges, claiming that he turned round one of the Church's most neglected dioceses.

Serbian Church dismisses head of its Diocese of Canada
