Bourse index edges higher as investors focus on banks
Most of the trade during Wednesdays bourse session in Athens was focused on banks Alpha and Piraeus, with the former adding over 4 percent and the latter shedding almost 6 percent on a day of moderate gains for the main index with a significant rise in turnover.

The Greek bourses main index endured minor losses in Mondays session in relatively thin trading, as stocks showed a mixed picture.

Greek yields dip as S&P says might raise ratings

Considerable gains after six sessions of stock decline
Stocks had already begun to inch up during Tuesdays bourse session even before news of the agreement to reduce natural gas rates was made public. The deal gave the benchmark index a final push to rise above the 1,260-point level, on increased trading.
Local bourse gets a stress test of its own
A sixth consecutive day of decline on the Greek bourse on Monday inflicted significant losses on most stocks and the main index due to uncertainty over the results of banks stress tests generated by reports regarding requirements as high as 20 billion euros. Turnover remained low, as it has done for the past two weeks.
