This was stated on Tuesday in Belgrade by European parliament member (MEP) Eduard Kukan.

And the German position in question was put forward last week, also in Belgrade, by an MP from German Chancellor Angela Merkel's CDU party.

"It's been confirmed that wherever everyone from the region gathers, some short circuit occurs. British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson didn't even come to the gathering, because he resigned. Should we go to some other countries, too?," the Serbian foreign minister asked jokingly.

President Tomislav Nikolic says a delegation of EU parliamentarians he received in Belgrade was "worried about the development of relations with Russia."

The delegation of the EU-Serbia Stabilization and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC) was led by Eduard Kukan.

An European Parliament (EP) delegation headed by former Slovak FM Eduard Kukan will visit Serbia on September 22-24.

A meeting of the EU-Serbia inter-parliamentary committee will also be held then, Tanjug reported late on Tuesday.

Eduard Kukan, former Slovak foreign minister and Member of the European Parliament, on Friday urged Albania's parties to respect the law and to fulfil promises to ban people with criminal backgrouns from holding or stand for office.  

EU Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn is to arrive in Macedonia on June 02 for an official visit.

Hahn's visit was confirmed by his Spokesperson, Maja Kocijan?i?, as cited by Macedonian news portal Plusinfo.

BELGRADE - Eduard Kukan, head of a delegation of the European Parliament (EP) on a visit to Serbia, has told Belgrade-based daily Blic that Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic should not attend a military parade that will be held in Moscow on May 9.

President responds to MEP: I did not ask for advice

BELGRADE -- Tomislav Nikolic on Friday reacted to a suggestion voiced by a European Parliament (EP) official that he should not attend Victory Day parade in Moscow.

Eduard Kukan said that Nikolic should travel to Moscow, but only to visit a monument for WW2 soldiers, and snub the parade.
