Tesla to deliver vehicles to Turkish consumers in May
The U.S electric car maker Tesla has scheduled first deliveries of its vehicles for Turkish customers in May.
The company started to collect pre-orders for vehicles on April 4. Tesla will sell three versions of its Model Y in Türkiye.
Auto sales leap 62 percent in March
The combined sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles increased by a strong 61.7 percent in March compared with the same month of 2022, the Automotive Distributors' and Mobility Association (ODMD) has said.

European Parliament: There will be an Electric Car Station every 60 kilometers in the EU
In the near future, drivers of motor vehicles should be able to find a charging station at least every 60 kilometers along the most important transport arteries in the EU.
Togg receives 7,734 orders in four hours
Türkiye's first indigenous electric car maker Togg received 7,734 online pre-orders in the first four hours as bookings opened on March 16.
Pre-orders for the TOGG T10X will be taken online on March 16-27, while deliveries will start in late March, the company said.
A draw will be held to determine those who will receive, later this year, a total of 12,000 T10X electric cars.

Electric cars gain record market share in Europe
Electric car sales set a new market share record in the European Union in 2022, industry figures showed yesterday, as the region seeks to rid itself of fossil fuel cars.
Battery-powered electric cars accounted for 12.1 percent of new car sales, compared to 9.1 percent in 2021 and 1.9 percent in 2019, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA).

Sales of electric vehicles set a new record for market share in the European Union in 2022, industry data shows, as the region moves to wean itself off fossil fuel-powered cars.

Tesla with Disappointing Sales for 2022
Tesla said it delivered 1.31 million electric vehicles in 2022, a record for the U.S. automaker and a 40 percent jump from a year earlier, but still below its own and Wall Street expectations.
The Elon Musk-led company has set a long-term goal of increasing its shipments by an average of 50 percent annually.

Northvolt could postpone building new gigafactory in Germany
Swedish electric car battery specialist Northvolt could postpone building a factory in northern Germany due to the energy crisis and enticing subsidies in the United States, its boss said Saturday.
The project "could be postponed", Peter Carlsson told German daily Frankfurter Allgemeinen Zeitung.
