Vulin: Government aims to further reduce unemployment rate
BELGRADE - Minister of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy Aleksandar Vulin said on Monday that last year saw a drop in Serbia's unemployment rate from 23 to 17.6 percent, and the government will strive to keep it at the same level and reduce it, if possible, primarily through youth employment schemes.
Job rationalisation plan to be presented by July
BELGRADE - Serbia's Minister of Finance Dusan Vujovic has said that he would present by July the plan for a reduction of jobs in the public sector, and added that the new arrangement with the IMF would help the dinar strangthen further.

Bulgaria to Be Granted EUR 336 M for Addressing Judicial, Administrative Reforms
The EC approved on Thursday the Operational Programme Good Governance, which foresees the allocation of EUR 336 M for improving the public administration and transparency of the judiciary in Bulgaria.
The majority of the funds (EUR 286 M) will be provided by the EU budget through the European Social Fund (ESF) for the 2014-2020 programme period.

Drop of 5-8 pct expected in winter sales turnover

The winter sales started on Monday across the country and will continue through February 28, but retailers have very limited expectations as forecasts are pointing to a 5 to 8 percent drop in turnover from the same time last year.
This follows an 8-10 percent decline in December turnover.
