A new legislative proposal in Bulgaria aims to prohibit the sale, purchase, and provision of energy drinks to individuals under 18 years of age.

Ever since the famous Serbian energy drink brand posted a video of Guarana signed by Nikola Joki on Instagram, the internet has been buzzing: everyone wants to try the MVP taste.

Almost half of Bulgarian students aged between 14 and 18 use energy drinks, Minister of Health Kiril Ananiev announced today in parliamentary scrutiny. He referred to a survey in 2014, examining the risk factors for the health of Bulgarians in which 683 students were interviewed.

Coffee just isn’t cutting it anymore, apparently.

The Turkish Food, Agriculture and Livestock Ministry has banned the sale of energy drinks for those under the age of 18, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on June 30. 

Such products will have to be sold with a tag to be read easily, saying: "[It] should not be consumed together with alcohol, or mixed with it."

Infuriated by the Turkish government's ban on sale of alcoholic drinks after 10 p.m., a former liquor store owner in the southern province of Antalya has made a call to the army -but could only find a statue to support his cause.
