Bulgarian South Stream Section Issued Positive EIA Report

The offshore South Stream gas pipeline section will not have a substantial impact on the environment and the socio-economic sphere in the region of Bulgaria's Varna.

The Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) report was prepared by international experts from URS Infrastructure and Environment UK Limited.

Turkey approves environmental report for South Stream pipeline

Turkey has given the green light to the Environmental Impact Assessment (ÇED) report for the section of the South Stream Offshore Pipeline that will cross the country.

The Turkish Environment and Urbanization Ministry has approved the ÇED report that oversees the potential impact of the project on nature, a statement released by South Stream has said.

The clearance for the offshore stretch of the gas pipeline crossing the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of Turkey was announced by the South Stream Transport company.

Contract for South Stream construction through Serbia signed

BELGRADE - Companies South Stream Serbia and Centar Gas from Russia signed the Contract on the construction of the Serbian section of the main South Stream gas pipeline to the total value of EUR 2.1 billion.

The contract was signed by co-directors of South Stream Serbia Dusan Bajatovic and Aleksandar Siromjatin and Director General of Centre Gas Stanislav Anikeyev on Tuesday.
