Earthquake hits Kefalonia

An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale was recorded on the Greek island of Kefalonia, according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre.

The earthquake’s epicenter was located in the sea area, 19km west of Argostoli, while the focal depth was 2 km.

No damages were reported.

4.0 earthquake hits Karpenisi

A light earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale was recorded at 11:40 on Wednesday at Karpenisi.

According to the Geodynamics Institute of Athens’ Observatory, the earthquake’s epicenter was located 5 km western of Karpenisi and the focal depth at nine km.

No damages were reported.

4.7-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Serbia

An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale hit a region of Serbia located 90km southwest of Belgrade.

According to reports of the European Mediterranean Seismological Center, as cited by the BGNES news agency, the earthquake struck at 9.47 pm local time.

The depth of the earthquake was initially estimated at 2km and the epicenter was 21km south of Valjevo.

An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale was registered in southern Romania on Monday afternoon but no casualties or damage were reported.

According to data from the European-Mediterranean Seismology Center (EMSC), the tremor occurred at 15.09 local time (13.09 UTC) in the region of Vrancea mountain.

5.1 Earthquake Hits Greek Chalkidiki Peninsula

A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 on the Richter scale was registered in the southern part of the Greek Kassandra peninsula, Chalkidiki at 8.29 am EEST.

The epicenter of the quake was located 13 km away from Polychrono, a tourist town located in the eastern part of the peninsula of Kassandra, Focus news reports.

Richter 3M earthquake shakes Buzau County on Monday at pre-dawn hours

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3 on the Richter scale shook the Vrancea seismic zone - Buzau County, on Monday at 4:22 a.m. local time (1:22 UTC), the National Institute for Earth Physics announced.

The epicenter was 112 km deep, and the localities closest thereto are Valenii de Munte (35 km), Covasna (47 km), Sacele (50 km), Plopeni (51 km) and Mizil (51 km ).
