Well done 'Eagles'! Serbian national basketball team reached the finale of the European Basketball Championship after a dramatic win over Russia, with a score 87:79!

The Greek national basketball team were eliminated from the Eurobasket 2017 after losing to Russia (74-69). The Greek side were unable to capitalise on their free throws, registering an appalling 50%, while Russian star player Shved upped his game notably in the second half to lead his team to the semis.

The Greek national basketball team is leading Russia (37-31) at the end of the 1st half in their quarter final of the 2017 Eurobasket championships. Playmaker Nick Calathes is once more putting on a solid performance with 6 assists and 8 points.

Turkey has been knocked out of EuroBasket 2017 after being defeated by tournament favorite Spain 73-56 on Sept. 10 evening.      

The Round 16 match in Istanbul's Sinan Erdem Dome saw a resilient Turkish squad, as they managed to handle Spain for three quarters of the clash.      

Nick Galis is the Greek Michael Jordan, if you will. The player that changed the course of basketball history in Greece, propelling it to the status of a national sport with his feats, received a rare award reserved for the few, the legends of the game can boast. He was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.

The Turkish national basketball team will play against Spain on Sept. 10 in the Round of 16 of Eurobasket 2017 after failing to beat Latvia.

Greek hoopsters averted a complete disaster by playing their best game to date at the 2017 Eurobasket to beat Poland 95-77 on Wednesday and advance to the second round.

The national team will now leave Helsinki and travel to Istanbul to face Luthuania in the round of 16 on Saturday.

Despite a poor showing in the group stage of the 2017 Eurobasket championships, the Greek national basketball team managed to scrape through to the final 16 knock out round after defeating Poland  (95-77) in the last match of Group A.

Turkish national basketball team lost 80-74 to Serbia on Sept. 4 night in a EuroBasket 2017 Group D match played in Istanbul.        

Turkey will face a wounded Serbia on Sept. 4 in a key EuroBasket 2017 Group D game after it defeated Great Britain 84-70 on Sept. 2 in Istanbul. 

The second game victory was host Turkey's first win in the Group D, while Great Britain was defeated for the second time.
