Ferryhopper and Aegean Airlines partner in Book-a-Ferry
In its first two years of operation, ticketing platform Ferryhopper has managed to establish significant partnerships and compete with far more established operators.
Its latest partnership, with Aegean Airlines, is Book-a-Ferry, an online platform that offers Aegean passengers shipping routes where there is no airline connection.
Lufthansa Airbus Suffers Engine Out Above Bulgaria
An older A340-300 en-route to Tehran has had to turn back over Sofia, Bulgaria after one of its four engines shut down, reports Simple Flying.
A Lufthansa flight on it's way to Iran has had to turn back to Germany after one of its engines disabled halfway to its destination.

Afandou on Rhodes island is finally signed away
Following three tenders and countless bureaucratic procedures, state sell-off fund TAIPED finally took the decisive step for the utilization of the Afandou plot on the island of Rhodes.
The agreement signed on Wednesday with T.N. Aegean Sun Investments Ltd signals the transfer of the entire Afandou property to private investors.

New Cheap Flights Start between Sofia, Bulgaria and Germany
New low-cost flights between Sofia and Germany are launched by the German low-cost airline Eurowings. The carrier's airplanes start flights between the Bulgarian capital Sofia and the German cities Stuttgart and Dusseldorf from October 31st. The flights will be twice a week. The planes to Stuttgart will fly Tuesday and Sunday, and to Dusseldorf on Thursday and Saturday.
Greek airline Sky Express partners with Air France KLM
Greek airline Sky Express said on Tuesday it had signed an agreement with Air France KLM to cooperate on flights connecting Paris and Amsterdam with the Greek islands.
Tourism accounts for about a quarter of economic output in Greece, which saw a record number of about 33 million visitors last year.
Sea link between Lavrio and Cesme to open in June
A new sea link between Greece's Lavrio and Turkey's Cesme ports will be launched in June in what is expected to boost trade between the two Aegean neighbors by circumventing long overland travel for large trucks, state-run Athens-Macedonian news agency reports. The line will also serve tourists wishing to travel between the two countries.

Aegean Air raises 200 mln euros from bond offering for fleet renewal
Greece's largest carrier Aegean Airlines raised 200 million euros ($224.20 million) from a bond offering that ended on Thursday and was oversubscribed, underwriters said.
