Bulgarians Remain Skeptical about Payments Through Biometric Technologies
53% of Bulgarian consumers worry that switching to biometric identification in online payments will dramatically increase the number of identity frauds. This is shown in a survey of the Paysafe payment solution provider.
According to data, 81% of respondents in Bulgaria still prefer traditional payment passwords online due to security concerns with new biometric options.
Suspect identified in 2017 Israeli Embassy attack
Police said on Monday that, as part on an ongoing investigation, they have identified a 28-year-old man who took part in the Christmas Day attack by members of the Rouvikonas anti-establishment group on the Israeli Embassy in Psychico, northern Athens in 2017.
The culprits rode up to the embassy on motorcycles and threw bottles of paint at the entrance.

The Schengen Information System will contain DNA data
The Schengen Information System will contain DNA data and fingerprints in the future, the EU Council said today, quoted by the Bulgarian National Television.
It is intended to introduce fingerprints not only from the fingers but also from the broad palms when it comes to suspected serious crimes and wanted to participate in terrorism.
DNA on knife from controversial jewelry store incident linked to dead activist
Traces of DNA found on a knife at the location of a controversial incident last month at a jewelry store in downtown Athens has been identified as belonging to 33-year-old Zak Kostopoulos, the LGBTQ activist who died after being attacked by the store's owner and another man.
Grenade found outside publisher's residence in northern Athens
Authorities were investigating on Wednesday after a hand grenade was found outside the residence of a well-known publisher in the northern Athens suburb of Vrilissia.
It did not explode and its safety pin had not been removed.
Police removed the grenade as evidence and for further examination of possible fingerprints and other clues.

Payments over the Internet or via your mobile phone will become more secure from abuse. This will be provided by a new law on payment systems, which has already been approved by the Council of Ministers.

Officials at the main post office in Faliro, southern Athens, intercepted an envelope containing three bullets addressed to the general secretary of public revenue, Giorgos Pitsilis, authorities said on Tuesday.
The envelope, which did not carry the sender's name or address, was discovered at 2.30 p.m. at the sorting office.
