Century-old flute returns home
A flute played 88 years ago by Zahit Özsezen, a solo flutist in the early years of the Turkish Republic, has been found in the U.S.
The wooden flute, called Non-Boehm, which Özsezen used about a century ago, has recently returned to the Turkish capital from California.

Ancient flute reveals interest in music
A 1,600-year-old flute and bronze ring with a key have been unearthed during excavations in the 3,000-year-old Zerzevan Castle, located in the Çınar district of Diyarbakır and which served as the last garrison of the Roman Empire in the east. The castle is on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List.
