George Petrou & Armonia Atenea | January 30 - February 1

Acclaimed conductor George Petrou and the Camerata Orchestra's Armonia Atenea return to the Athens Concert Hall after their earlier tribute to Mozart with a concert dedicated to Haydn's grand symphonies: No. 92, known as the "Oxford" symphony, and No. 94, or the "Surprise" symphony. The performances will be streamed live from the venue starting at 8.30 p.m., free of charge, at megaron.gr.

Beethoven & Schubert | Athens | January 12

The Camerata - Friends of Music Orchestra Musicians, conducted by George Petrou, will be at the Christos Lambrakis Hall of the Athens Concert Hall to perform two pieces from 19th century Vienna, Ludwig van Beethoven's Seventh Symphony and Franz Schubert's Second Symphony, on Sunday, January 12. The musicians will play on vintage instruments from the baroque and classical eras.

Classical Gala | Athens | December 30

George Petrou conducts the Athens State Orchestra in a classical gala at the Athens Concert Hall on Sunday, December 30, with arias and duets from popular operas sung by soprano Vassia Alati and baritone Tassis Christoyannis, followed by Viennese waltzes and operettas by Strauss and Lehar. Tickets range from 16 to 60 euros and the show starts at 8.30 p.m.

Viennese Airs | Athens | January 4

The Armonia Atenea Orchestra, also known as the Camerata, welcomes the New Year in traditional Viennese style, with popular works by Johann Strauss II and Joseph Strauss on Wednesday, January 4. The ensemble is led by maestro George Petrou. Admission ranges from 14 to 50 euros (7.50 euros reduced). The concert is scheduled to start at 8.30 p.m.
