Labour Minister to brief President Pavlopoulos on social security reforms

Labour Minister George Katrougalos will brief the President of the Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos on Monday regarding the social security reforms which are planned ahead of the negotiations with Greece’s lenders.

Mr. Katrougalos will meet with the political leaders in Parliament at 11:00 on Monday, while the meeting with Mr. Pavlopoulos has been scheduled for 18:00.

Katrougalos suggests a basic ‘national’ pension at 384 euros

The Policy Secretariat of SYRIZA is being briefed by Minister of Labour Giorgos Katrougalos on his alternative plan for the insurance issue.

According to what Mr. Katrougalos suggests, the basic pension would be at 384 euros, instead of 390 that it was originally announced. The contributory part of social security contributions will be added on that amount.
