Katrougalos in Paris for talks with French counterpart

Greek Foreign Minister George Katrougalos will visit Paris on Wednesday for talks with his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian.
The two officials will discuss issues of regional and international interest, including the situation in Syria and Libya and the European prospects of Western Balkan countries.

Business mission to Qatar planned in May

The Greece-Qatar Business Council is organizing a business mission to Qatar on May 1-3 on the occasion of the visit to Doha by Foreign Minister Giorgos Katrougalos.

The business mission is planned with the support of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Greece and Qatar, as well as the Qatar Chamber of Commerce & Industry (QCCI).

Athens serves Turkey demarche

With concern mounting over a recent spike in Turkish transgressions, Greece's Foreign Ministry on Tuesday handed Turkish Ambassador in Athens Burak Ozugergin a demarche in protest at the harassment on Monday by fighter jets of the helicopter transporting Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras to the eastern Aegean island of Agathonisi to attend an event marking the anniversary of Greece's 1821 uprising

US Senate highlights Greece's geostrategic significance

In a resolution on the occasion of the 198th anniversary of Greek independence, the US Senate has emphasized Greece's geostrategic significance and hailed the enhanced framework of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The resolution, signed by 27 Senators, noted Greece's dedication through time to the values of democracy and freedom.
