Foreign workers lose 16,000 jobs a year
Official employment of non-Greeks in Greece has been in decline in recent years, contributing to a wave of departures by foreign nationals from the crisis-hit eurozone country and compelling many to seek work off the books, recent research by an Athens-based think-tank has shown.

Rise of Black Friday in Greece has little impact on total retail sales
Stores and consumers in Greece are gearing up for Black Friday - normally the last Friday of November, but on November 23 this year - as the shoppers' "holiday" when many retailers reduce their prices and provide special offers has been embraced by the local market too.
Exports gain ground in year to end-September
Greek exports to the country's traditional trading partners increased over the first nine months of the year, while exports to third countries are soaring, and especially to China, according to an analysis of Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) data.
Including fuel, exports in the year to end-September climbed by 3.49 billion euros year-on-year to 24.34 billion.

European Commission reiterates its support for former ELSTAT chief
The European Commission has "full confidence in the reliability and accuracy of data by the statistical authority in Greece under Mr Georgiou's leadership," Commissioner for Employment and Social Affairs Marianne Thyssen told a meeting of European parliament's plenary on Wednesday night.
Georgiou case to be discussed at EP plenary on Wednesday
The European Parliament plenary will on Wednesday hold a debate on the case of Andreas Georgiou, the former head of Greece's statistical service (ELSTAT), and the independence of statistical authorities in the members of the European Union.
The session is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Greek time.
Notable rise in visits to museums, archaeological sites
Museums and archaeological sites in Greece have welcomed more visitors in the first seven months of 2018 while revenues have grown, the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) said in a statement on Monday.

Greek August unemployment drops to 18.9 pct, lowest since Aug. 2011
Greece's jobless rate eased to 18.9 percent in August from an upwardly revised 19.1 percent in the previous month, falling to its lowest level since August 2011, data from the country's statistics service ELSTAT showed on Thursday.
Seasonally adjusted data showed the number of unemployed at 896,588 people, with younger persons aged up to 24 bearing the brunt of being out of work.
