Bomb Blast Targets Foreign Forces in Kabul

A bomb blast targeting a convoy of foreign forces near the US embassy in Kabul Wednesday killed at least three people and wounded 15, officials said, the latest militant attack to rock the Afghan capital, AFP reported.

Interior ministry spokesman Najib Danish confirmed the blast targeted "a convoy of foreign forces passing the area".

Eurozone deficit down at lowest level since early 2008

Following years of often strict budget austerity, the level of government borrowing in the 19-country eurozone has fallen to its lowest level since early 2008.

Official figures Tuesday show the deficit in the eurozone was at 1.4 percent of annual gross domestic product in the fourth quarter of 2016, from 1.6 percent in the previous three-month period.

Yusuf Islam visits Syrian refugees in Turkey's southeast

British musician Yusuf Islam, formerly known as Cat Stevens, visited Syrian refugees living in the ?ahinbey district of the southeastern province of Gaziantep on April 23. 

Islam was accompanied by Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu's daughter, Sefure Davuto?lu, in his visit to the Güneykent Youth Center, where the Syrian refugees are receiving education. 

No Bulgarian Servicemen Hurt in Deadly Kabul Suicide Bombing - Defence Ministry

No Bulgarian military personnel have been injured in a suicide car bomb blast in Afghanistan's capital Kabul, the Defence Ministry in Sofia said on Tuesday.

The suicide attack, which took place on Tuesday morning near the Afghan Defence Ministry and presidential palace, has killed at least 28 people and injured 329, according to the BBC.

Turkish shopkeepers probed for 'beating Syrian teens who stole bread'

Two shopkeepers accused of savagely beating two teenage Syrian refugees with clubs were detained in Turkey's southern province of Hatay on April 6.

Security camera footage, which provoked outrage on social media, showed two men racing out of their shops in Hatay after two teens took several loaves of flatbread from a display case. 

Three Syrian children killed, six wounded as fire erupts at tent city in Turkey's southeast

Three Syrian migrant children were killed and six others were injured after a fire broke out at a tent city in the Derik district of Turkey's southeastern Mardin province. The fire was the second reported in one week, after 21 tents burned down on March 25.
