An 18-year-old female with a medically certified gender identity disorder underwent a sex reassignment operation at the Interbalkan Medical Centre in Thessaloniki in March for the first time in Greece.

Anti-racist and anti-homophobia groups including the Greek Helsinki Monitor (GHM) and Athens Pride, have joined forces in filing suit against a teacher of religious education in Xanthi, northern Greece, for distributing homophobic material.

"This incident is not like an accident or an earthquake. I will follow it until the last drop in my blood," a heart-stricken mother has pledged. Her power comes from desperateness. Her only haven is justice; however, justice is silent. 

Serbia's Education Ministry has instructed the teachers of the country's secondary schools and pre-school institutions to add to their curriculums materials on sexual abuse.

Many sociologists see this as an attempt to instill in the younger generation knowledge about LGBT lifestyles, which flies in the face of the traditional family values.

“Paedophilic interest is natural and normal for human males,” said the presentation. “At least a sizeable minority of normal males would like to have sex with children … Normal males are aroused by children.”

At least 20,000 women are working as online sex workers in Turkey, earning up to 4,500 Turkish Liras per month, daily Habertürk has reported. 

Speaking to the newspaper, the administrator of one such website, identified only by the initials A.K., said he employed 600 women as sex workers using either webcams or written messages, earning an average of 26 liras per hour.
