BELGRADE -- Slovak Ambassador in Belgrade Jan Varso has said on Wednesday that Bratislava's position on the non-recognition of Kosovo remains unchanged.

Slovakia's stand on the non-recognition of Kosovo remains unchanged, Varso told Tanjug, adding that "many have speculated about that".

Kosovo to Ensure Smooth Elections also in North

The Kosovo state prosecution and police on Monday said they were preparing a joint action plan for the general elections due on June 8.

The prosecution system will be working with more than 100 prosecutors and 300 staff members from the time that ballot boxes open at 7am until they close at 7pm, Laura Pula, from the state prosecution, said.

BELGRADE -- Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić on Saturday expressed his gratitude "to all the countries and the EU" for the help they provided to the flood-stricken Serbia.

Dačić said that the country was in need of equipment and personnel specialized for rescue operations, the Foreign Ministry said.

Kosovo Prepared for June General Elections

The Central Election Commission of Kosovo, CEC, is continuing preparations for the upcoming general elections, which will be held across the country on June 8.

Enis Halimi, executive chief of the CEC secretariat said they “have made all necessary activities and operations in order to ensure that everyone can use his civic and political right to vote”.
