In Greece, we live with postponements and extensions. There are court cases that never reach a conclusion and irresponsible lawmakers who remain in their positions, useful for political exchanges in Parliament but useless to society. Important cases are delayed, testing the resilience of institutions which are important for the functioning of the state.

Moria migrant camp receives suspicious letter
The administration office at the Moria reception and identification centre on the island of Lesvos was evacuated on Friday after staff received a letter deemed suspicious, state-run news agency ANA-MPA reported.
The letter, sent through a private courier company, appeared to have originated from Oman.

Six more suspicious envelopes sent to Greek campuses
After Greek authorities collected on Thursday 12 suspicious envelopes sent to universities around the country, more letters were delivered Friday to six separate campuses.
Police was told universities in Ioannina, Rethymno, Patra, Corinth and Lamia received similar envelopes, as well as the private Mediterranean College in Thessaloniki.

A 55-year-old man in Larissa, central Greece, faces charges related to the illegal acquisition and trade of antiquities after police reportedly discovered him in possession of an unauthorized collection of nearly 700 ancient coins.

Fourteen Greek university professors and researchers were included in an international list of some 4,000 of the most influential researchers of the past 11 years, compiled by Clarative Analytics.
Property ownership declarations to resume
The collection of property ownership declarations will resume on November 19, starting with the southeastern Aegean islands of Karpathos and Kalymnos, the National Cadastre & Mapping Agency (Hellenic Cadastre) announced on Thursday.
