Hamas Says Long-Term Cease-Fire Agreed with Israel
Hamas leaders have said that Israeli and Palestinian negotiators have reached a cease-fire agreement to end seven weeks of fighting in Gaza.
"An agreement has been reached between the two sides and we are awaiting the announcement from Cairo to determine the zero hour for implementation," Hamas Spokesperson Sami Abu Zuhri said on Tuesday, according to reports of Al Jazeera.

Long-term Gaza truce agreed with Israel: Palestinians
The Palestinians have reached agreement with Israel on a "permanent" ceasefire for the Gaza Strip, a senior official told AFP on Aug. 26.
"The contacts that have been going on have agreed a permanent ceasefire, a (deal to) end the blockade and a guarantee that Gaza's demands and needs will be met," the official told AFP, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Egyptian mediators have proposed a new ceasefire in Gaza that would open the blockaded enclave's crossings and allow in aid and reconstruction materials, a senior Palestinian official said on Monday.
