Bulgaria Ends National COVID-19 Information Portal

The National System to combat COVID-19 and the Unified Information Portal, coronavirus.bg, will cease operations starting July 1. Information about COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria will now be published weekly in the epidemic situation reports of the Ministry of Health and the National Center for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases.

Bulgaria: Health Minister to drop the Mandatory Isolation and Quarantine for People Sick with COVID-19

The Minister of Health, Dr. Asen Medzhidiev, will initiate changes to the Health Law to allow for the abolition of the mandatory isolation of persons sick with COVID-19, as well as the mandatory quarantine of the contacts of these persons.

On May 5, the World Health Organization lifted the Public Health Emergency of International Concern due to COVID-19.

Government decides no compulsory Covid-19 school public health measures, masks optional

The ministries of health and education today decided that there will be no compulsory public health measures to protect against the spread of the current highly transmissible variant of COVID-19 at schools nationwide, which are scheduled to re-open on 12 September.

GCS: 269 people with COVID-19 in ICU; hospitalized persons - 1,938

Bucharest, Aug 29 /Agerpres/ - A number of 1,938 people infected with the new coronavirus are hospitalized in the specialized health units, out of whom 269 in intensive care, the Strategic Communication Group announced on Sunday. In Romania, 6,567 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home and 1,956 are in institutional isolation.

GCS: 92 patients with COVID-19 in ICU; hospitalized persons - 522

Bucharest, June 27 /Agerpres/ - A number of 522 people infected with the new coronavirus are hospitalized in the specialized health units, out of whom 92 in intensive care, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) announced on Sunday. In total, 1,888 people confirmed with SARS-CoV-2 infection are in isolation at home and 837 are in institutionalized isolation in Romania, GCS said.

443 COVID-19 patients in intensive care out of 2,372 hospitalisations

As many as 2,372 people with COVID-19 are hospitalised in Romania at specialist care facilities, out of whom 443 in intensive care, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS), the official novel coronavirus communication task force, reported on Sunday. In Romania, 6,623 people confirmed with the novel coronavirus are in isolation at home and 2,727 are in institutional isolation.

Coronavirus / GCS: 636 patients - in intensive care; 3,919 hospitalizations

A number of 3,919 people with COVID-19 are hospitalized in specialized health units, of whom 636 in intensive care, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) announced on Friday. Overall, 11,485 people confirmed with SARS-CoV-2 infection are in isolation at home and 4,662 are in institutionalized isolation in Romania, GCS said.

Bucharest, April 4 /Agerpres/ - A number of 13,714 people with COVID-19 are hospitalized in the specialized health units, out of whom 1,456 in intensive care, announced the Strategic Communication Group (GCS). In total, 66,589 people confirmed with SARS-CoV-2 infection are in isolation at home and 16,255 are in institutionalized isolation in Romania, GCS informs.

Bucharest, Feb 14 /Agerpres/ - A number of 6,952 people with COVID-19 are hospitalized in the specialized health units, out of whom 964 in intensive care, the Strategic Communication Group informed on Sunday. In Romania, 39,318 people confirmed with SARS-CoV-2 infection are in isolation at home and 10,038 are in institutional isolation.
