263 people newly infected with coronavirus in Serbia, a total of 8.042

Two women and three men have died, epidemiologist Predrag Kon confirmed.
Out of 4.365 COVID-19 tests that were performed in the last 24 hours, 263 were positive.
Serbia now has the total of 8.042 confirmed coronavirus cases, while 1.182 patients have recovered so far.
The total of 3.044 patients have been hospitalised and 85 were on respirators.

New 304 cases of coronavirus in Serbia, total infected 5.994

This increased the total number of patients to 5.994 cases.
3.853 were hospitalized and 126 were on respirators.
In Serbia, in the last 24 hours, seven more have died, totaling 117.
637 people were cured.
"The isolation lasts 14 days for those who have been in contact with the infected person," Dr Predrag Kon said.

Five more deaths of COVID-19 in Serbia, three women and two men died in the last 24 hours, with a total death toll being 99, while 408 people were tested positive. The diseased were 69 years of age on average and the mortality rate until Wednesday was 2.03 percent.
Since Tuesday at 3 pm, 2.880 people were tested, and 408 were positive on coronavirus infection.

Turkey lifts coronavirus quarantine in 6 areas

Turkey lifted quarantine measures on six areas in five provinces, with 156 others remain in isolation, the country's Interior Ministry announced on April 8. 

As of 4 p.m. (1300GMT) on April 8, two district centers, six towns, 92 villages, 47 neighborhoods, and nine hamlets across 45 provinces were still under quarantine, the ministry said in a statement.

Kon: If we want to impose more drastic measures, we should do it now

"If we are going to introduce more drastic measures, now is the time to decide," Kon told "Danas" daily.
Asked what his personal attitude was, as well as whether there was a need for more rigorous restrictions, Kon said that "in Belgrade, which is particularly vulnerable, it must in any way ensure that contacts between citizens are reduced to the minimum".
